This year has started off with a bang.  We had our albino carpet python clutch hatch first in late April and yielded 1.1 albino jaguars.  We're planning on keeping the male, but the female will definitely be for sale.  Today, our Diamond/Jungle Jaguar clutch hatched and it looks like there are a couple jags in there.  We don't know how much of the clutch we're going to keep, so be mindful of the Available page.  These two clutches were our early clutches and we're still waiting for our other carpet and ball python clutches to drop.  It looks like we're going to have a busy July/August.

Well, breeding season is about to start for us next week over here at ReptilesbyJeff.com.  This is always an exciting time because we get to sit down and figure out which projects we want to repeat and which new ones we want to try.  We're eager to implement some of this year's new acquisitions into our breeding efforts and therefore, freeing up some of last year's breeders for other projects.  I'll take some time this weekend and make some decisions.  If you're curious on what we've decided, send me an email next week.

Clutch #15 hatched today.  This clutch was a Yellowbelly 100% Het. Orange Ghost X Normal and there were several yellowbellies from what I could see.  This is my third breeder loan with one of the guys I know in the industry.  I'm hoping to raise them up at a chance to eventually get a yellowbelly orange ghost and then an ivory orange ghost.  Still unsure whether I want to take on this project or just sell off the entire clutch.  We'll see.

This is my last and final clutch of the season.  Time to finally turn off the incubator and give it a break for a few months.  Before you know it, we'll be doing this all over again.  I was really inpressed with the new incubator I built from an old Coca-Cola fridge.  Every viable egg I put in there hatched.  I was also experiementing with some slight changes to my incubating style and it worked out well.  I haven't done the math, but I think my hatchrate was close to 100%.  Overall, this was an interested season with tons of pros and a few cons.
